what is the brand of a laptop that apparently is unbreakable & waterproof, according with tv advertising? last year I used to see in TV some advertising about a laptop that fell from a table and did not breake also somebody spreaded cofee on it and it was working normally...I do not remember the brand of this laptop, can you help me folks? thanks.

a gentleman and a scholar replied: "might be a panasonic toughbook...the military uses them. but dell makes that kind of durable laptop too"

stinker replied: "It's called Asis ."

midwestprotech replied: "Ironix XR 1 Rugged Notebook This cool laptop weights about 3 kilograms and it can stand falling, vibration, besides it is water- and dust- resistant. That means that it will work even after falling off the plane into a river. Will cost you around $4500.00 Next best is General Technics RhinoBook. Rodney Johnson Midwest PROTECH, LLC"

Where can I purchase a porta book at? http://www.bestofasseenontv.com/porta-book/porta-book-laptop-table.jpg? As seen on tv. For laptops.

Whats the scientific name for the phenomena that follows in the de ion, click here for more...? The phenomena I describe in this example... I'm lying on the couch, the laptop is on the coffee table, the tv is on in the corner of the room, deeper in the vision field, the laptop covers the tv completely when I close my right eye due to where the laptop is positioned, the room is dark, when I close only my left eye, i see the laptop screen covers half the tv screen, when I have both eyes open I can see the tv....this thing with the focus and the eyes what is the scientific name for this,..... Parralax, thanks for your help gentlemen. I've known this effect all my life the whole time i've had eyes, and some boredom, but never knew the name.

Queue replied: "It sounds like what you're discussing is "monocular vision". We as humans have binocular vision. We have two separate parts for viewing and when both open, we see one image, like looking in a set of binoculars. However, when we close one eye we see the image but maybe not the whole thing. We're only seeing what the one eye can see. If we switch eyes, we're only seeing what that eye can see. An impairment of this is called "monocular vision impairment"."

Is there such a thing as a "starving student" anymore these days? Went to visit my child attending university and was astounded to see that they his roommates had a flat screen TV, video game systems, stacks of DVDs, a foosball table, and many varieties of alcohol lining the kitchen cabinets. They all had laptops and nice computers and fancy cell phones. When I was in university, I had a desk and a bed. We watched TV at the student lounge and there was only 2 tvs for all of us and we defintely didn't have cable. Luckily, my roommate had a typewriter so I could type my reports up neat. I can't image having half the stuff that kids have now. How do you even study?

eri replied: "Undergrads, not as much. Grad students have less money and can't rely on their parents any more for money. And international students never could - plus it costs them two months salary to go home."

Alucard replied: "Where is your kid going to University? I went to a top school and never saw anyone with flat screen tvs and all this luxury. I'd imagine many of the ones that had them brought them from home. Cell phones are dime a dozen."

Jaide replied: "Oh, it's like that at my school, unless you look in one of the ghetto dorms without air conditioning. They just built some new suite-style dorms, and you should see all the expensive cars parked around it. They also put full size beds in these suites too, and each student gets their own bedroom and private bathroom."

Kayla replied: "We study using the internet, haha. Even if one takes "starving student" literally... there are none (or few) because most schools make their students by meal plans."

Matt replied: "in the dorms at most off campus apts cable and internet are often provided in the rent. i went to purdue and there was a lot of competition for students, so apt complexes would give free internet and cable...one put a new 36in tv in all the apts, and they usually have a nice clubhouse with a pool, fitness room, lounge with a pool table, etc. and of course, everyone has tons of alcohol."

Laptop webcam question? hurry i'm creeped out.? OK for christmas I got a dell inspiron 1525 laptop with a built in webcam... So last night my father was playing with the webcam and i wasnt home, he said he had the laptop on the table cause he was watching tv, and saw it moving outta the corner of his eye and on thed screen it was zooming in on his face and he said every time hed look at the screen it would zoom in and out. which i didnt believe cause i thought he was joking. well i stared at my laptop today and it wouldnt do it so i handed it to him and there it went zooming in. it will only do it for him and not me. and last night he said he felt something flick him in the ear, which i can believe my house has some WEIRDDDD unexplanable crap going on. i look threw my webcam program to see if it has zooming options andnothing. i was just wondering if this happens to every one else or if this is some kinda screen saver thing for the webcam screen..haha i'm just kinda freaked out haha LOLLLL awww but they are fun D:

krypticenigma replied: "dont do drugs"

cotton candy replied: "wow thats creepy, are u sure of what ur dad says... maybe he is presing some buttons to scare u or maybe he already did the video and got closer to the laptop so that it would apear zoomed... i dont know ask him... im waiting for an inpiron 1525 too, i can hardle wait but i hope that dosnt happen to mine cause ill freak out."

Wilkster replied: "Contact Dell and see if the webcam has an auto zoom that is hard wired (built-in) to the cam for full face views. If you are in front of it, it has you focused in. When you turn the laptop, it would zoom into a new face from a distance. It's worth a shot. Other than that, it might be a defective webcam."

Can I talk to someone online for free on legal matters, dealing with a non-relative living in my house? Help? I need to possibly talk to professionals who know about the law. This would be in the United States, Tempe, Arizona(In case I have to be specific). To talk on the phone with someone could work too, but I don't want just some phone number, I'm gonna have to know it's real by website or something. I'll give a bit of info of my situation, but I don't know how well I can trust any answers, I'll have to go with a professional. This guy has been living in our house for years, and him being here bothers me extremely. - He gets some sort of revenge by indirectly harassing me, for example if I don't clean the litter box he puts it in my room, if I leave my laptop in the living room on a TV table he'll put a bunch of trash on it, and just today, I didn't finish some sodas with my friend, so he put the half-empty cans on top of my Xbox 360(and considering our financial status, that's expensive). These are small things, but I'm afraid he might be doing even more things that are unnoticable, I don't even think I'll ever trust him if he cooks me food, and I'm wishing I had a lock on my room door that needed a key. I suspect these things because of the other following reasons you'll see below. His indirect issues really scare me, I feel horribly unsafe in my house, the food I eat, where I sleep, etc. - He has anger issues, and I guess he takes some sort of medication unknown to me. He'll start arguing about things that are completely stupid, like an opinion of a movie's meaning. My mom and dad have gotten in many arguments with him. - One time, his dog killed my kitten in the kitchen (which by the way was one of the most horrible and gory events in my life), and from then on his dog was never allowed inside, and even today, he brings his dog inside, so far I've mainly see him do it when nobody else was home. The scary thought is that I still have 2 cats in my house, and even worse my little toddler niece comes over and it seems just as easy to happen to her (the kitten went near it's food bowl, because this guy had placed the dog's food right next to the cat's food. I believe a toddler is even more likely to go near the dog while he's eating). I don't know if he deliberately placed the dog's food next to the cat's, but he still brings the dog inside even after my parents said no. - There is an almost obvious suspicion that he is into drugs. One of the most obvious is weed, and also, once when my dad was arguing with him, my dad told me he also smoked crack, and maybe my dad was just drunk, but that could have been why he told me, and the way he acts seems like he would actually smoke crack. As for the marijuana, I've seen pipes and etc around, and he spends time in his room locked, where also I have smelled the scent, and he always sprays air scents in there. - This is just disturbing, but one time I came home one day, nobody else but him home in his room, and I happened to come in pretty quietly. I ended up sitting on the couch, and I heard him making obvious "noises", like grunts and, other things, I also heard some strange noises coming from the dog which was in his room at the time. I even heard him mention the dogs name a few times, he was being pretty loud since he probably thought nobody was there. Although extremely disturbing, I actually kind of erased that from my mind and decided to not think much of it, instead I went into another room and got my mind off it. I hope you can see what I'm talking about, he seemed to be doing "something" with his dog. I don't know if bestiality is legal or not, but it just adds on to the fact that there seems to be something wrong with him psychologically. I really wish this guy did not live in this house, and I find plenty of good reason for him not to be. I wish there was someway I could contact the police to investigate his room for the drug part, and maybe do some tests on the dog to prove something there. The problem is, I really do NOT want him to think I had anything to do with if he has to leave whether to jail or whatever. His mentality scares the crap out of me and there's never been a person I would expect more to like hunt me down or get revenge, and he seems to be one who could easily shoot someone(Oh and he once showed me his own little sawed-off shotgun he made, isn't that illegal?). I would RATHER somehow have my parents give him some harmless reason to tell him that he can't live here anymore, something that would be reasonable to him and he wouldn't be mad about. But, I can't think of what and I also can't trust my parents to not do something about this if I tell them, and I absolutely do not want him to know that I have to do with anything, even if I'm just a witness to all these things. It's almost like that situation where I'd feel safe if he was in prison for life, but that seems kind of messed up. I would rather have him leave for his own reasons or something, but the fact that I can't trust where I live right now, nor would I trust comi

there's this cat that appears out of nowhere in my house? there's been an orange cat that has been appearing out of nowhere in my house. its a ginger cat. when i watch tv or go on the laptop, at any random time, i see the cat's head appear out from behind the couch or a table. i usually let it outside. my next door neighbour's cat is ginger n is let outside. so i assume it is theirs. the cat is friendly but it scratches the couch :( what should i do?

Sexy Chico replied: "find out from wear it gets in and cut it off so the cat can't come it again."

PRAY for our soldiers replied: "get a spray water bottle or squirt gun handy when she attempts to claw. Squirt her!! Cats hate water! This cat will tell ya he hates it! She obviously like your home better than hers..."

Emoly replied: "lololol random cat is random"

Erick replied: "Maybe you must hide the couch and ignore the cat"

Abby replied: "I would maybe try to catch the cat (if it's friendly and will let you pick it up) and walk over to your neighbors. Just ask them if it's their cat. I'm assuming the cat has at least some way to get into your house without your knowledge. Go outside and look around your house and see if there are any nook and crannies the cat can squeeze through. Cats only need a space a little bit bigger than their head. Then just repair the area so the cat can't get through anymore. Some cats can open doors though - so check and see if that might be possible too. Good Luck!"

has anyone been hit or had the electricity from lightning run through them? I was at my dining room table on my laptop and there was a storm going on. I was shocked by something. I felt it go through me and my arm started to hurt really bad. The pain went to my leg only my leftside. Leg, arm, neck and my back. My vision went to double vision for a moment. I now am very light headed and getting sick. I can not stand for along period of time with out feeling like i'm going to fall over. I was told it will pass but wondering if i should go get it checked. I called my neighbor and he said lightning hit close by because he seen it run from his floor by the tv to the kitchen floor. Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

Terry R replied: "I've never even come close to being hit. But I've seen plenty of documentaries about lightning. For one thing, usually people will see the main stroke hit the ground in a second, then it's over. They took time lapse photography of lightning strikes and found out that during the strike, other things at a distance produce "leaders". These are failed strokes, but still are potent when you happen to be one of those things. The best case I've heard is a guy was actually sitting in a tree when the tree got hit. He got knocked out of the tree, was okay, but noticed the zipper of his fly was weilded together!"
